ABOUT US

We are a new club with over 31 years combined experience behind us. The club specialises in recreational gymnastics, TeamGym, Trampolining, Disabilities and Pre-school gymnastics. With 42 coaches / volunteers we strive to offer gymnastics to our community.

Our program of activities will develop as the club develops and establishes itself in its new setting. We will be working alongside the university to promote the club in the community and gymnastics for all ages. As we develop, our equipment will expand and form a centre of excellence for future gymnasts.

We welcome all new members and hope you enjoy our club.

OUR DIRECTORS

Candy Lakin - Performance Manager

British high performance coach in gymnastics, Level 5 and triple licence coach. 5 times British champions, 5 times international champions. European selected Great Britain coach 2016. Level 4 general gymnastics, Level 3 tumbling and Level 2 trampolining coach, level 3 PESS award in schools sports teaching. First aid and child protection certificates and a BA Hons in dance/education.

Ellie Armstrong - Head Coach

Two time British TeamGym champion. Level 4 TeamGym coach, disability awareness module and Head of Preschool gymnastics with Level 1 qualification. First aid and child protection certificate, NVQ in childcare.

Naomi Bostock - Coach

LSGCA director with a Degree in Psycology, GB selected Team Gymnast for European championships 2021. 2 time British Champion. Level 4 TeamGym Coach, In-house club welfare officer for child support, first aid and child protection certificate.
